CityWaboo’s Top New Year’s Resolutions!

Submitted by Amber on Tuesday, 6 January 2009No Comment

With every New Year comes the New Year’s Resolutions, but this year, we wanted to spice it up a bit.  We went out and found some of the most unique New Year’s Resolutions in Los Angeles and we wanted to share them with you!
The most popular of all the answers is pretty typical, “want to lose weight”, however, Kevin put a twist on this resolution, saying he wanted to become a ninja, and not just any ninja, a “sneaky smart ninja”.  While we can’t train you in Ninja 101, we can suggest some starting points.  Check out the local Martial Arts centers to get started on earning your black belt!  If Martial Arts isn’t your thing, check out local fitness centers instead, many of them run specials to bring in the new year.
One of the most unique responses we got was, “Learn how to break dance while free falling from a plane”.  While break dancing without the wood floor may be a bit difficult, heading to a dance studio may help you master your moves before you take to the sky.  Instead of free falling from a plane, why not learn how to fly one this year instead!
Others wanted to be “more social” this year!  Los Angeles is a huge city; some of us have even managed to meet each other in the midst of 5 o’clock traffic on the 405 or the 101.  Meeting new people can be quite the challenge, if you don’t know where to go.  Checking with local event pages can be helpful.  Also, try going to new places to spice up the types of people you’re meeting, such as a comedy club, a jazz bar, or a bowling alley.
Many just wanted to spoil themselves in 2009, so we’ve got some of the best spots to pamper yourself into a blissful slumber.  Check out some of the local spas in LA, or even specialty massage parlors, usually they even have membership deals in which you can receive treatments for nearly half price.

As for us, we have our own resolution, and it’s one you’re all going to get to see unveil itself over the next 12 months!  Until then, Happy New Year!
